This 5-layer Pizza Lasagna is the ultimate comfort food mashup. Combining the cheesy layers of lasagna with the zesty flavors of pepperoni pizza, it uses oven-ready noodles for a quick and easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

9 ounces oven-ready lasagna noodles (about 15 sheets)

1 (48-ounce) jar marinara sauce (about 6 cups)

1 1/2 pounds low-moisture mozzarella, shredded (about 5 cups)

5 ounces sliced pepperoni, preferably small diameter

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and position the rack in the center.

2. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread 3/4 cup of marinara sauce as the base.

3. Place 3 sheets of lasagna noodles equidistant from each other. Add 3/4 cup marinara, 1 cup mozzarella, and 1 ounce of pepperoni.

4. Repeat the layering steps (noodles, sauce, cheese, pepperoni) for the next four layers.

5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

6. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for 5 minutes until bubbly.

7. Let the lasagna cool for 15 minutes before slicing to hold its shape.

Notes

Use low-moisture mozzarella to prevent the lasagna from becoming watery.

Smaller pepperoni slices allow for easier cutting and better distribution.

If using traditional noodles, boil them until al dente before assembly.
