These Burger Bowls are a healthy, flavor-packed twist on the classic burger. Featuring crispy potatoes, seasoned beef, and a creamy homemade burger sauce, they’re a lighter, fresher take on burger night.
500 g lean ground beef
2–3 medium potatoes, washed and cut into fries
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Lettuce, shredded
Cheese (cheddar or dairy-free)
Pickle slices
4 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp pickle juice
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1. Cut potatoes into fries or wedges, pat dry, and toss with olive oil and half the spice mix. Air fry at 200°C for 20 minutes or bake at 200°C for 30–40 minutes until crispy.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the beef until browned. Add the remaining spice mix and cook until moisture evaporates.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Adjust to taste.
4. Layer crispy potatoes in bowls, add lettuce, beef, cheese, and pickles. Drizzle with burger sauce and serve.
Use sweet potatoes for a naturally sweeter flavor.
Add bacon, avocado, or a fried egg for variety.
Store components separately and reassemble before serving.
